What we do
Laboratory staff consult to doctors, drug counsellors and accident and emergency departments. We provide medico-legal drug testing to a number of organisations including defence forces, correctional centres, probation and parole services and drug courts. We specialise in employment drug testing.
The Toxicology Unit provides a range of testing profiles depending on client needs. All routine clinical and medico-legal specimens are subjected to a combination of immunoassay, high performance thin layer chromatography and qualitative mass spectrometry if required. For employment testing we use immunoassay and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry according to Australian Standard AS/NZS 4308

- Monoacetylmorphine

- amphetamine type substances including Amphetamine, Methylamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy), Ephedrine, Pseudoephedrine, Phentermine
